AAU is among the world's leading universities regarding research and teaching. Aalborg University is known for its courses in Health Technology, Wireless Communication, Energy, Computer Science, Innovation Economics, and Comparative Welfare Studies. AAU offers hundreds of courses through its four faculties: the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, the Faculty of Engineering & Science, the Faculty of Medicine, and Technical Faculty of IT and Design.

Aalborg University is one of the most prestigious universities in Denmark. It does not publish data on the acceptance rate officially. However, as per EduRank, Aalborg University acceptance rate is 40%. This indicates that it is very selective and popular among international students. Therefore, it might be challenging for some to get into AAU. Please note, that the data given above on the acceptance rate is taken from an unofficial source, therefore it is subject to change.

International students who are non-EU/EEA citizens must pay an application fee. International students who hold a residence permit are exempted from paying the application fee. The Aalborg University application fee is 780 DKK/INR 9,295. One application fee covers all applications (max 3) at AAU for the specific intake. The university will refund the application fee if they are admitted and begin their studies at the university.
