No, the Abu Dhabi Campus of New York University does not have strict and mandatory course requirements at the high school level.
Although if the Indian applicants want to be highly competitive, they should have completed a curriculum that includes at least 3 to 4 years of the subjects given below -
- Mathematics
- History
- English/Writing
- Laboratory Sciences

No, applying in Early Decision does not negatively affect an Indian student's chances to receive the New York Scholarships.
Opposite to it, applying early and showing strong interest can actually make you a better candidate to these financial aids.

Indian students should start preparing for the NYU Abu Dhabi Admissions at least 12 to18 months prior to their target enrollment.
The reason is the competitiveness of NYU Abu Dhabi. It is very difficult to get into it, and given below is the prep required for Indians -
- Academic excellence
- Standardized testing
- Extracurricular achievements
- Great personal essays

Yes, it is always a good idea to apply via the Early Decision rather than the Regular one. It is because the students see a higher acceptance rate then.
For the Regular Decision, the acceptance rate is barely 3% and this is much higher for ED deadlines.
The upcoming admission deadline for Indian students at NYU UAE is Nov 1, 2026, for its UG courses (ED 1) and for the same, the decision will be released by Dec 15, 2026.

NYUAD is much more selective than most of the Ivy League universities available out there. The typical Ivy League admit rate stays around 3% to 7%.
But, for NYU Abu Dhabi, it stays below 3%. For the class of 2029, the New York University UAE acceptance rate stands at 2.9%.

No, it is not at all easy to get into New York University Abu Dhabi. The acceptance rate for this university goes down to around 2.9%.
To get in, Indian students are required to be really good at academics and submit the following docs to be considered -
- English proficiency proofs
- Standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, Andhra Pradesh exams and more)
- LORs
- Transcripts (with a GPA of 3.7 and more)
- Essays
