The following items are not allowed at the ACT exam centre:
- Any snacks, drinks, or reading materials in the test room are not permitted while sitting for the ACT exam.
- Chits or any cheating material.
- Gadgets besides calculators.
- Any sharp material and metal materials.
- Also books are also equally prohibited to carry at ACT exam centre.
Applicants not abiding by the rules may be penalised and may also be barred from appearing for the ACT exam at the designated exam centre.

The following things that an applicant is permitted to take at the ACT test centre are as follows:
- A valid photo ID
- A calculator (read the ACT Calculator policy for selecting the right calculator)
- As it is a lengthy test, it is advised to carry some water and snacks with you.
- Pen or pencil
- Any electronic gadget
