For being eligibile to study the MBA course from GBPUAT the students should have completed their Bachelor and/or Master degree in any one Agriculture, Agricultural Chemicals, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Science/Technology, Fisheries, Food Science/Technology, Forestry, Horticulture, Veterinary Science, Home Science/Community Science or BTech (Biotechnology) with aggregate of minimum 50%.

The students have to first apply to College of Agribusiness Management, GBPUAT through online admission portal from the official website. Following the submission of application, the students are shortlisted on the basis of their result in CAT/CMAT. The shortlisted students are then called of GD and PI. The selected students are given admission post paying of the required fee.

Pursuing MBA Agribusiness Management in KSRDPRU, Gadag is moderately difficult. It is a mixture of business with agriculture, requiring some analytical thinking and knowledge of the sector.
For a student coming from a B.Sc. Agriculture background, some technical aspects would be easy but he/she would really find difficulty in finance or marketing modules if not familiar. It has a little intensity because of the case studies and project work and internship work that require time management and some practical application.
Faculty support can be said to be all right, while self-study is important for an in-depth understanding of the concept

In total, there are 30 seats available at The Neotia University for an MBA in Agribusiness and Rural Management. Further, the university has proposed 60 additional seats for three new MBA specialisations to be started in 2025-26. These specialisations are Marketing, HR and Finance.
