Though both the universities are good in academics but being an alumni let me share the details for LPU. LPU Becomes the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation. In addition to the regular course work, especially designed practical courses like Hands on training, Practical crop production, Rural and Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, Crop And SEED Identification Laboratory, Soil And Water Sampling And Analysis, Soil Description And Interpretation Discipline Highlights: Agriculture laboratory, Organic And Chemical Fertilizer, Manure Identification And Application Laboratory, Introductory Nematology, Disease Of Horticultural Crops And Their Management, Practical Floriculture And Vegetable Crop Production Laboratory, Bio-Safety Rules And Intellectual Property Rights are offered to promote practical implication of various courses which train students for industry. Students are exposed to Commercial farms (100 acres) to know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. They were also engaged in complete cultivation practice of seasonal crops for 6 months, wherein land preparation till harvesting and marketing of the final products will be done by student to expose farming experience. Profit earned by selling solely shared by students of a group. The highest numbers of PhDs as faculty members are enrolled in School of Agriculture faculty members throughout the LPU university. These experienced faculty members mostly engaged in consultancy, research and publication to add immense value to the academic life. Due to ICAR accreditation large numbers of companies are visiting the campus. More than 44, 46 and 43 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively. Around 90% of the students getting placed every year. Among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt. Lmt. , Tata Rallis India, Bioseed, Emami, GSR, IFFCO, Dhanuka, ITC, Relience Agr. Retail, Uniborn, HDFC Bank, Intellow lab, WIPRO, with maximum package offer of 5.68 Lacs. Every year &get;50 students joining in Syngenta RISQ project for research with good stipend. Students are getting an opportunity to go on programme exchange in foreign universities every year.

For B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, There are ample opportunities in this field both in the Government and in the Private sector. Getting a good job depends on various factors like from where you have done your Graduation, your skills, your knowledge about the field, the Industrial experience, and exposure if you have any.
