Both the Universities have almost similar fees and facilities however, Alakh Prakash Goyal Shimla University is comparatively expensive as compared to Maharaja Agrasen University in terms of fees for some courses. To pursue B.Tech from any university in India -
•Students have to score a minimum of 50 Percent in Class 12 th Board Examinations from a recognised Educational Board.

The cut off marks for JEE MAIN Entrance Examinations are as follows:
- General Category: 90 Percentile
- OBC Category : 73 Percentile
- SC Category: 51 Percentile
