- Candidates should score an aggregate of 60% marks in their Engineering Degree (BE/B Tech).
- Candidates are required to clear the GATE entrance exam with a valid score.
- Candidates who have passed AMIETE Examinations.
- They must have a valid GATE score.
- A minimum of 55% marks for section B in the AMIETE examination.

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering provides admission into B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA programs. It is the best engineering college in Kerala. B.Tech programme offers 9 courses and M.Tech programme offers 8 courses. For admission to Amal Jyothi College of Engineering for B.Tech, one has to qualify for competitive exam KEAM. For admission in M.Tech student must qualify GATE examination.

Amal Jyothi college of Engineering is approved by All India council for Technical Education.About 40% of students got placed on campus .The highest package offered was 25 LPA and the lowest salary package was 10 LPA, which is overall a good ratio.As per the source the unique factor about this College is that it is the first new engineering college in the state to secure the prestigious NBA accreditation for prime department.
