Web Designer needs to know about programming to be able to design properly. Designing a website is not only about the looks but it is also about functionality. A designer needs to know how the site is going to navigate, the structure of the pages and what types of features the page is going to need. Hi Ashish,
Depending on the nature and duration of the course one may decide whether it is equivalent to engineering or not. Engineering is a 4 year degree course.

Salary is always depending on few factors, like your skills , the company. projects , location ( City ) etc, depending on all factors , it varies some where in between 8500 Rs to 35,000 Rs per month as a fresher . It is an approximate value.

Normall a person may Join an animation studio as a Trainee or fresher technical artist ( Modeler/animator/ rigger / texturing & rendering artist etc ) , next become an artist , then may be team lead , supervisor and so on. Technically he can become an art director or production manager, line producer , producer , director etc .

Many of the institutes offer animation courses where , they dont have any cutoff mark . But normally 10th pass candidates are proffered as a minimum qualification required . Nothing to worry , your son can join a animation course but for a UGC approved B.Sc or graduation 12th pass is minimum required . though he can join professional diploma or master diploma courses duration 3 years or 36 moths , these courses are good enough and almost as same as a degree in comparison of its content , but theses are not UGC approved .
