The first year of the PG course is divided into two semesters. Some credit is attached with each of the subjects. A total of 10 topics are covered in the first year, with five subjects in each semester. Mentioned below are the semester-wise subjects covered in the programme:

No, Annmalai University DDE offers admission to the MBA programme on a merit-basis. There is no entrance score requirement. The university accept applications for the distance course based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Hence, the aspirants performance in the bachelor's degree course is considered for the final selection. However, to be eligible for the course, aspirants must have a valid bachelor's degree of at least three years duration.

In addition, the academic year 024-25 of the Centre for Distance and Online Education is from Jul 1 to Jun 30. Admission to the programme is merit-based.
