The seats for the BA programme at LD Arts College number at about 200-300 which are in conformity with Gujarat University's norms of capacity allowed for affiliated colleges. Precise figures would depend on specializations established; many seats are going to follow popular trends in terms of number of seats, i.e., English or Psychology will distinguish itself by 60-80 each, while the lesser popular ones like Sociology and History would go 40-60 each.

The UG fee structure of LD Arts College is that of any government-aided college, which is very much within reach. For BA courses, the annual charges are between INR 2,000 and INR 5,000, according to the field of study (like English, Economics).

A bit more than this would be required to study B.Com., with values ranging between INR 3,000 and INR 6,000 per annum. LD Arts College, affiliated with Gujarat University, does not have a stringent entrance exam requirement for the BA course. Entry is more based on merit and one's 10+2 percentage from recognised boards-CBSE/ISC/Gujarat Board. Differs as General category students typically have 60-65%, while reserve categories like SC/ST/OBC could go in the range of 50-60% based on past cut-off marks.

The latest cutoff for open merit BA admissions at LD Arts College in 2024, based on the merit system of Gujarat University, was 60-65% for general category students in the 10+2 examination.

In reserved categories like OBC, cutoff marks were set around 55-60% with SC/ST having a range of 50-55% whichever the cut was from the stream (Arts, Commerce). Such figures are past trends as the particulars for 2024 are not fully available yet.

Both K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce and Kishinchand Chellaram College are good options to pursue a BA. However, in terms of affordability,  K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce is more affordable since the tuition fee to pursue BA at K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce is INR 2,400, and the tuition fee to pursue BA at Kishinchand Chellaram College is INR 1.09 lakh.
