Yes, While drawing skills are helpful but they are not mandatory for all BFA specializations. Certain fields like sculpture, photography, animation, film-making and dance do not require traditional drawing skills. However, if you are choosing painting, illustration or applied arts then you will be required to develop drawing skills during the course. Most of the BFA programs start with basic drawing and sketching to help students improve.

Students can pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Painting at the College of Art through its affiliation with the University of Delhi. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) determines most entry points to this program.

CUET 2023 established the minimum acceptable marks at 408 points for General category students who want to study BFA in Painting.

Initial findings from CUET 2024 indicated 72 marks would be the cutoff threshold for the General category until the discovery of inconsistencies required further modifications.
