It is a career that is very much in demand since archaeologists have to spend infinite hours and days camping and undertaking field work at laboratories and in excavation sites. An archaeologist therefore must have the patience to work on a project that may take months and even years to compete. Basic Eligibility
UG: Those who want to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology should have studied history as a subject in 10+2.
PG: For degree or post graduate diploma courses in archaeology one should have completed his/her graduation in any discipline. However, graduates in social sciences like sociology, history, anthropology are given a preference.
