Indeed, you are eligible for the admission of B.A. in Journalism after clearing the Class 12 examination. You must have completed the 10+2 qualification from a recognised board, scoring at least an aggregate of 50%. Among your subjects, English/Hindi should be compulsorily studied. Normally, it is based on the merit or entrance exam criteria; some institutions accept these tests like JMI Entrance Exam or IIMC Entrance Exam. Any student from any stream- Arts, Commerce, or Science-can apply for this course.

At Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Noida, the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication (BAJMC) programme has an intake capacity of 120 students. This is divided between two shifts, with 60 seats available in each shift. The admissions for the programme are conducted through an entrance exam organized by GGSIPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

Well exact data of the students are not available but according to me on the average base 100-200 students have applied for B.A. in Journalism and Visual Communication at SASTRA Chennai Campus .
