Hii, As a first-year B.El.Ed. student, you are not yet eligible to apply for the CTET July 2024 examination. According to the eligibility criteria, candidates must have completed or be in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed. programme to apply for Paper-I, which is intended for teaching classes I to V.
Therefore, you can consider applying for the CTET examination once you are in the final year of your B.El.Ed. program.
Thanks.

Yes, Some universities and colleges conduct an entrance exam as part of the admission process. For example:
Delhi University (DU) conducts an entrance exam for B.El.Ed candidates.
Other institutions may have their own entrance tests or use a merit-based system depending on the exam or marks obtained in Class 12 from a recognised university.
It is important to check the specific admission process for each university or college to see whether they require an entrance exam.

While a D.Ed. or B.El.Ed. provides a foundational education, it may not be considered equivalent to a B.Ed. in Special Education for roles specifically requiring that specialization. Always check the specific requirements of the educational institution or governing body in your area for the most accurate information.
