A BSc in Hospitality course will give you a scientific approach (for e.g. looking at equipment, statistics, trends, etc.) whereas a BA will give more creative approach (for e.g. creating a memorable experience). However they are both equivalent degrees. Additionally, most degrees in hotel management and catering are BA's.

In Kolkata several institutes provide a B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Management. The Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata is a very prestigious institute that provides the student with a BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM).
