Calcutta University does not mention whether candidates need mathematics as a mandatory subject in Class 12th to be eligible for BSc. Candidates should contact admission desk to confirm requirement of Mathematics of BSc eligibility criteria.

Yes, you can get into IHM Guwahati with a rank of 8000 if you belong to the OBC AI category. According to round 1 of the IHM Guwahati cutoff 2026, the highest cutoff accepted was 8169 for the OBC AI category.
But, if you belong to the General AI category, then a round 1 cutoff of at least 7651 would be needed.

Calcutta University has not mentioned whether candidates can register for BSc admission entrance exam without Class 12 board exam scores. Thus, candidates should ask admission desk this question for confirmation.
Generally, entrance exams can be given before Class 12 board exam results are revealed however, marksheet will be required during counselling rounds.

BSc admission at Calcutta University will require following documents:
- Class 10th and Class 12th marksheet and passing certificate
- ID and address proof
- Passport-sized photograph
- Transfer certificate
- Migration certificate

IPSM Group of Institutions offers BSc programme at the UG level. BSc is offered in various specialisations. The specialisations offered by IPSM Group of Institutions in BSc are Physiotherapy, Medical Lab Technology, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Hospital Management, Radiology and Imaging Technology, etc.

Last date to apply for BSc admissions at Calcutta University was scheduled in beginning of June for Department of Home Science. Other departments have not yet released a BSc admission at this point. Candidates should continue going to Calcutta University's website to stay updated.

Calcutta University has not mentioned a refund policy for BSc students who cancel their admission. Thus, candidates should ask admission desk to confirm whether refunds are granted or not.
Generally, all institutes follow UGC norms when admissions are cancelled which provide a refund policy.
