GITAM Visakhapatnam BSc course structure is divided into six semesters with each academic year consists of two semesters. The curriculum structure of the BSc Paramedical and the contents for various courses offered by the University are recommended by the
Board of Studies concerned and approved by the Academic Council. The course structure of GITAM BSc course is as follows:
- Foundation Course (FC)
- Core Courses - Compulsory (C)
- Discipline Specific Electives (DSE)
- Generic Electives (GE)
Students pursuing BSc programme must also go for an Internship/ Project/ Training and must submit the detailed report in the prescribed format.

Howeve, the university itself offers only seven specialisations in Bio-Technology, Biology, Micro-Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and, Computer Science.
