In this academic year cutoff is 240+ mark required but cutoff mark can be vary from year to year. 85% requirement in each paper. Also if you are planning to take a leave you have to inform the class teacher or H.O.D. ( depends on the department). It is extremely strict. If it is a medical reason you can pay certain amount of fee and write the paper. Else you'll have to repeat the semester.

Yes, entrance exams may be required to enter into a B.Sc. course. This depends on which college or university you would prefer to get into. While a few institutes admit students based on their performance in Class 12 board exams, most of the other institutes require students to clear a certain entrance exam like CUET, BHU UET, or NPAT. Completing class 12 from any recognised board and scoring at least 50% aggregate with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology will be qualifying. Criteria will vary across institutions applied to and exam processes/entrance procedures involved.

To get admission to a B.Sc Yenepoya University you need to have completed your 12th grade with a Science background securing minimum of 60% marks.
The admission process includes an interview, but no separate entrance examination is typically required for undergraduate programs. Cutoff for individual B.Sc specialisation may vary slightly depending on competition and seat availability.

hope this helps!
