The duration of the BSc + MSc course is five years, but there is an exit option after successful completion of three years with BSc degree and four years with BSc (Hons.) degree. On completion of the five years of the course, candidates are awarded with be awarded with two different degrees. i.e., Bachelor's Degree (BSc) and Master's Degree (MSc). The dual degree is focused in  Data Science.

VIT Andhra Pradesh University BSc dual degree is a combination of two separate degree programmes: BSc and MSc. The dual degree programme is focused on Data Science. 

Data Science is a multi- disciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms to produce knowledge & insights from structured & unstructured data. The BSc - MSc curriculum is designed in such a way that the students will be industry ready by the time they complete the course. However, candidates can exit the course with BSc degree after three years and on completion of five years a  Master's degree is awarded.

According to the latest information available regarding the IMU CET application deadline for B.Sc. programs at IMU Navi Mumbai, competitiveness seems to be increasing. Based on the closing ranks of the 2023 B.Sc. in Nautical Science and the 2022 Diploma in Nautical Science, respectively, in the previous cycle, there appears to be a decent level of demand for these courses. Delhi University BSc and BSc (Hons) programmes are offered across 10 and 19 specialisations. The three-year UG course is divided into semester patterns. Admission to these courses was subject to merit in Class 12 till 2021.
