You are not eligible for M.Sc Zoology after B.Sc. Agriculture in traditional Universities but you are eligible for M.Sc. Life Sciences course of JNU New Delhi, IISc Bangalore, CUJ Jharkhand, IISER Bhopal etc. Some institutes allow Agriculture Graduates to pursue M.Sc. In Life Sciences but not all institutes allow Agriculture Graduates in M.Sc. Botany or Zoology course. Even I also want to pursue M.Sc. Life Sciences after B.Sc. Agriculture.

According to eligibility released by IIT JAM in year 2022, all that you need is to have passed the Bachelor's degree programme. Two years gap won't effect. In fact, there are many students who takes more than two years break for IIT JAM preparation. So, yes, you can apply for IIT JAM examination, just prepare well.

If your sole purpose is teaching in schools only then I will suggest you to go for B.Sc. In Zoology. If your aim is to do research or you want to work in the field of drugs manufacturing, food processing, molecular diagnostics etc. Then B.Sc. In Biotechnology will be a high hand over B.Sc. In Zoology.
