Banasthali Vidyapith is a compulsorily residential institution i.e., on being admitted to the university the student must live in the campus hostels. However, a student who is the ward of a worker of the University is exempted if she stays with them on the campus or if the student belongs to a neighbouring village community within a radius of 2.5 km.

Banasthali Vidyapith fees for the BA programme range from INR 1.4 lakh and INR 2 lakh. To get admitted to the BA programme, students must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate. Banasthali Vidyapith's admission process for most of the courses is similar. Candidates need to apply for the desired course by submitting an application form. The entrance exam will be conducted for admission to several courses, while admission to others will be merit-based.

Banasthali Vidyapith has signed bilateral agreements such as the Bridges between Indo-European Studies (IBIES) Programme that engages students in various academic and cultural activities.
