Biology Scope

Hi Bhaswati, M.Sc. Biology has a great scope & there are various opportunities available for the M.Sc. Graduates. At present, M.Sc. Degree holders in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Information Technology are high in demand. While other fields are also in demand in private sectors. An M.Sc. Degree holder can work in both government & private sectors. An M.Sc. Degree holder can work in various fields like education, defence, public sector, automotive and aerospace industries, healthcare, materials, technology, computing, energy and information technology. Some colleges and universities appoint M.Sc. Degree holders as a professor or lecturer. They can also perform research work in various industries. After the completion of your degree in M.Sc. You can also go for the further higher studies such as research programmes or Ph.D. courses.

Don't just opt for PCM as you think it is a shortcut to earn money, nothing today gives any guarantee and certainty. But, if you have interest in something, money will come automatically without even bothering about it. Doctors are most needed in India (it is what I feel), we are developing, but still people (mostly children) are dying from illness, epidemics, malnutrition, and most of the doctors go abroad rather than helping here. And yes, it is true that once you become a doctor, you will not have enough time, but think about mothers cum doctors. Don't they take care of their family and children? It depends on you, how you manage time. Engineers (we have plethora of them, but lacking genuine engineers). Yes, this is also good option, if you are really interested in engineering. But, don't just go for this as a sheep following the herd. There is nothing wrong, but only if interest is your first priority. But, I will recommend don't think about money by compromising your interest. May be, you can earn a lot of it, but real happiness will be felt only when you achieve something. You have always wanted.
