A person who is a graduate in the field of medicine or engineering is eligible for this course. Although, a person with some work experience (at least 24 months) with research in this field are always more preferable. Good luck.

Yes, anyone who has scored at least 50% marks in graduation is eligible to give the CAT. And the cutoff for an engineer in IIM-K could be at 99+ percentile. All the best.
