IHM Chennai and IHM Hajipur both accept the scores of NCHMT MSc JEE for admissions to MSc courses. Hence, the admission process is almost similar for both institutions, as the first requirement is that candidates must complete their graduation with an aggregate of 55%; then they must appear for the NCHMT MSc JEE, followed by counselling. Therefore, it is hard to determine which institute is easier to get admission into MSc courses. 

However, applicants can compare the two institutes by their cutoffs from here: IHM Hajipur cutoff and IHM Chennai cutoff.

Yes, IHM Hajipur does follow seat reservations for the MSc course. The institute has seats for candidates belonging to reserved categories. As per the NCHMCT guidelines, for admission under these categories, aspirants need to submit the relevant documents. Check out the seat reservation below, fetched from the official website of NCHMCT:

  • 15% for the Scheduled Caste (SC) Category.
  • 7½% for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) Category.
  • 27% for the OBC (Central List) (Non-creamy layer) Category as per the Central List.
  • 10% for the General EWS Category.
  • 5% of seats shall be reserved for the Physically Disabled across the board as per the rules.

The last round cutoff for the MSc course at IHM Hajipur in the year 2025 stood at 159. Further, for the year 2024, the cutoff concludes on the rank 25. Thus, the NCHMCT JEE MSc cutoff shows a declining trend over the consecutive years. For a more detailed view, refer to the table below:

When a candidate is granted admission for MSc course at IHM Hajipur, they must produce the following documents in original for verification, failing which they will not be granted admission. 

  • Marksheet of Class 10, 12 and graduation.
  • Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Character Certificate issued by last attended school/college. 
  • Reserve Category Certificate. 
  • Details of the Intervening Period. 
  • (Online) required fee payable at IHM Hajipur Portal.
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness from the registered medical practitioners with admission form.

The dates of commencement for MSc courses at IHM Hajipur for the academic batch of 2025 have been officially released on the official website of the institute. The classes for the MSc course first semester started on August 4, 2025. Moreover, the document verification, physical reporting, and fee payment concluded in the month of July.

The admission process for the MSc course at IHM Hajipur, candidates are required to complete the eligibility requirements. Further, the institute selects candidates based on their score in the NCHMCT MSc JEE. Interested candidates can visit the NCHM official website to apply.
