The basic eligibility criteria for admission to various courses offered at Shiv Nadar University is Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate to 75 percent aggregate, depending on the course selected. Candidates must have a good score in the accepted entrance exams. For that, students must practice TNEA question papers, SNUCEE syllabus, and GATE question papers.

• Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship holders (only for School of Natural Sciences programs)

• Top 100 rank holders in class 12th from CBSE, ICSE, and Cambridge Board of Education
• JEE (Advanced) top 500 ranks
• INSPIRE fellows awarded Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)
• Top 100 rank holders in class 12th from other State Education Boards

Shiv Nadar University has 286-acre residential campus that houses more than 2,500 students, more than 250 faculties, and staff members. To ensure the students' comfortable living, the university has in-house resources like grocery stores for daily needs, cafes, a fully equipped medical centre, a student recreational center, an indoor sports complex, a post office, a central library, saloon, and also has an in-house bank with ATMs.
