NIMS University admission is both merit and entrance-based. Admission to most of the UG and PG courses is done through the university's in-house entrance exam, NIMSEE. In addition to this, national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, NEET, NEET SS, etc., are also accepted for specific courses. Further, candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme must be Class 12 passed in relevant subjects with at least 45% aggregate or, Passed 3-year Diploma exam with at least 45% aggregate subject to vacancies in the first year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
