Thakur College of Engineering and Technology admission is both entrance and merit-based. To get admisison, students must fulfil the eligibility. The final selection is based on the academic score of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam. However, national level exams/ state level exams are considered depending on the course, followed by counselling process. The exams accepted are JEE Main, GATE, MH CET, CAT, MAH BBA/ BCA CET, etc.

No, students cannot get direct admission in Thakur College of Engineering and Technology. Entrance exams are required for admission in the college. The selection criteria for admission is based on the scores in JEE Main/ CAT/ MH CET/ MAH BBA CET/ MAH MCA CET/ GATE, etc.

If a candidate does not have valid score in JEE (Main) or MHT-CET, he/she can apply for H-TCET exam that is conducted by HSNC University, Mumbai for admission in its BTech programme. The application fee of INR 1000 has to be paid by the candidate to complete the H-TCET application process.

HSNC University, Mumbai conducts H-TCET exam for BTech admission. H-TCET is a MCQ type online exam. It is conducted online. The test duration is 60 minutes. The maximum marks is 50.
The test consists of questions from the following subjects:
a) Language Skills (15%)
b) Domain Specific Knowledge (30%)
c) Mathematics (HSC level) (30%)
d) Quantitative Skills (25%)

The H-TCET exam is conducted by HSNC University, Mumbai for admission in its BTech programme. The tentative dates for H-TCET exam 2026 are 5th/15th/25th April/May/June/July. The test will be conducted depending upon the availability of seats in BTech.

Shivaji University seats are limited. Students are given a seat through entrance + counselling basis. The intake depends on programme and specialisation. The intake for the programmes is as below:

Shivaji fees is different depending on the programme and specialisation. Students can pay the fees through accepted payment gateway. The payment has to be done timely. The course fees is as below:

So far, Shivaji University has not released any last date of admission. Students can apply as long as the admissions are open. The forms have to be submitted before the admission closes.

Students may get admission in Shivaji University with 70% in Class 12. The minimum percentage required in Class 12 is generally 45%. So, 70% does make you eligible to apply. The final selection however, is subject to clearing the selection rounds.
