Yes, entrance exam is required for admission in MAHE Manipal, depending on the courses. Except for a few courses, where candidates are selected through the merit obtained in their last qualifying exam or by qualifying for Department specific tests. The university conducts Manipal Entrance Test (MET), followed by other selection rounds for admission. National level entrance exams are also considered for some courses. The accepted exams are NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET SS, NATA, JEE Main, CLAT etc.

Yes, students can apply for UG engineering courses at MAHE Manipal with 85% in Class 12. To apply for preferred courses, students must meet the eligibility. To be eligible, students must pass Class 12 with 50% aggregate based on MET rank. For admision based on JEE Main rank, stduents must have minimum 75% in Class 12 to be eligible.

To get admission in MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education), students must fulfil the eligibility and selection requirement.  To be eligible, studnets must have valid scores in last qualifying exams. Admission is merit-based. For others, the entrance exam score is considered.  The final selection is done based on MET (Manipal entrance exam) and DT (Department Tests). National level entrance exams and merit, are considered depending on the courses. The accepted entrance exams are NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET SS, NATA, etc.

Yes, pursuing a regular BTech degree at the Manipal Institute of Technology falls on the premium pricing side, ranging from INR 18.02 - 24.42 Lakhs depending on the branch. While institutions like Thapar carry a similarly high cost, VIT Vellore can work out cheaper if you manage to clear their low-fee category slabs (Category 1 & 2).

Manipal Institute of Technology BTech programme holds a distinct advantage in its overall average package, which hovers impressively between INR 12.31 LPA and INR 13.30 LPA. Computer Science related branches push even higher, scaling up to an average of INR 14.60 LPA. In comparison, VIT and SRM showcase lower overall averages of around INR 8.19 LPA and INR 7.05 LPA, .

Fresh primary application portals for the upcoming session are fully closed, as entrance testing wrapped up before the June cycles. However, registered aspirants holding a valid merit rank card can actively log into the MAHE Portal during active window re-openings to alter stream preferences.

The centralized Manipal Institute of Technology BTech admission system is strictly time-bound to keep the allocation pipeline moving efficiently. Total course fee for CSE, Mathematics and Computing, and Computer Science and Financial Technology is fixed at INR 24,42,000. At the time of admission, students must pay a first-installment total of INR 6,18,000 + a refundable INR 10,000 caution deposit. The remaining course balances are split across subsequent annual installments.
