NIT Mizoram has a sanction of around 200 seats for admission in BTech programme. For admission at MTec, NIT Mizoram offers 50 seats with five specialisations and 2 years of course duration. The Institute also offers PhD in various specialisations along side the UG and PG level programmes. 

NIT Mizoram admissions is entrance-based. For admission to its BTech programme National Institute of Technology Mizoram accepts the JEE Main scores followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling.
