Fakir Mohan University has a total of 40 seats for MCA course. Candidates are offered seat in MCA based on OJEE score. Odisha Joint Entrance Exam or OJEE is an online test conducted by the OJEE cell. The exam is conducted once in a year at the state-level. Selected candidates have to come for document verification fee payment to confirm their seat in the university.

Fakir Mohan University offers courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels at the campus or via affiliated colleges. The university offers Integrated BA LLB at the UG level and MSc, MA, LLM, MBA, MCA, etc. at the PG level. The basic eligibility for UG courses is Class 12 whereas, graduation is required for PG programmes.

Integrated B.Ed and M.Ed course at Fakir Mohan University is a self-financing course. Admission to B.Ed-M.Ed is based on CPET score. CPET is  Common Entrance Test conducted by the Higher Education Department. CPET includes 80 multiple choice questions that needs to be answered in 60 minutes. 

Fakir Mohan University offers a Research Fellowship to students. The university offers financial aid to students in the form of fellowships for two-years. The fellowship can extended to another year after the recommendation of the committee. The fellowship amount is INR 8,000 per month from the date of registration/ joining in the concerned department.

Fakir Mohan University offers various types of scholarships and financial aid to the students. The scholarships are awarded by the National Councils and State Government as per the result of the candidates in their PG exams in Arts/ Science/ Commerce. Besides, the university also provides Research Fellowship to students. The university offers financial assistance to students in the form of fellowships for two-years. 

Candidates need to pay a Common Application Form (CAF) fee for the entrance exam.  The CAF fees in case of appearing multiple entrance subjects will be as follows:

• For first or only subject is INR 500 for General category candidates and INR 300 for SC/ST category candidates.
• For every additional entrance subject, candidates have to pay INR 200 for both General and SC/ST category candidates.
  
  

Candidates need to apply for PG courses except MBA and MCA on the official website of Students Academic Management System (SAMS)' of the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha. For MBA and MCA programmes, aspirants have to apply for OJEE. The application process for PhD and BA LLB courses is online. Candidates can download the application form from the university website.

Fakir Mohan University offers admission to PG and PhD courses based on entrance-exam scores. The university shortlists candidates for MBA and MCA courses based on OJEE scores. For all other PG programme, admission is based on CPET. The selection to BA LLB is based on the merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam.

Fakir Mohan University offers some of the UG and PG courses in self-financing mode. The courses include MPhil, BA LLB, MSc Applied Microbiology, MSc Chemistry, B.Ed-M.Ed, MLIS and PMIR. The self-financing courses are not subsidised by the university and aspirants need to pay the full cost of the couse.
