Students need to obtain a competitive rank in JEE Main and JEE Advanced so that they can become eligible for admission procedures at IIT Bhubaneswar. Candidates are required to achieve a cut-off rank, as decided by the course. For instance, the cut-off rank needed for BTech Civil Engineering was 14,782, whereas for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) it was approximately 3,685. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) School of Management accepts national entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, UGAT, CMAT, UGC NET, etc. To get admitted to KSOM Odisha, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college. Further, candidates seeking admission to an MBA programme must have graduated with a minimum of 50% in aggregate.

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) School of Management is particularly not affordable. The fee strcture of the programme ranges between INR 3 lakh- INR 10.5 lakh. The fee strcture inclusive of multiple components including caution deposit, exam fee, tuition fee, and more. Prospective students must pay an additional one-time fees at the time of admission. Students can make the fee payment via online/ offline mode as per institute set guidelines.
