Yes, there are hostel buildings on campus. The institute's campus has three hostel buildings, two for boys and one for girls. Rooms are given to IIM Sambalpur students on a twin-sharing basis. The rooms are adequately ventilated and nicely furnished, with each student receiving a bed, almirah, mattress, study tables, and chairs. The cleaning crew is in charge of keeping the rooms clean on a daily basis. High-speed Wi-Fi is now available across the campus and may be accessed from any location. Each hostel also features a separate common area with a TV and table tennis amenities to meet the students' recreational needs.

The temporary campus of IIM Sambalpur is located between hills and farmlands, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Students at IIM Sambalpur run a number of student committees and clubs. Students spend their leisure time playing Cricket, Badminton and TT; visiting Sambalpur city in search of alternative cuisine; catching a movie at the last minute; or simply taking long walks in and around the campus. The normal day at IIM Sambalpur begins at 8.30 a.m. Each session lasts 75 minutes, with a 15-minute tea break in between. No, IIM Sambalpur does not accept OJEE test scores for admission. If you want to get admission to the IIM, you will have to appear in the CAT exam. With the score of the OJEE test, you can get admission in about 40 management colleges in Odisha. You can get admission to the following top management colleges such as:
