NIOS offers various subjects, including Physics and Chemistry for students who have completed their intermediate education. Gandhigram University admission process is mainly entrance-based for the majority of the courses. B.Voc, UG Diploma, and B.Ed. programs offered at Gandhigram Rural Institute Dindigul are the only programs that do not require a CUET exam for admission. The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.
