It depends on the course in which the student is interested. Cape Institute of Technology offers only BTech, and MTech courses. The basic eligibility criteria for each course require the student to have a minimum of 45% in the previous qualification. Along with this, the student needs to have a minimum valid score in TNEA counseling or GATE for admission to BTech and MTech, respectively. Candidates meeting all the admission requirements can apply by appearing for the respective counseling. Around 35% of the seats are reserved for direct admission. The hostel charges of Cape Institute of Technology (CIT) are different for different types of rooms. For single sharing, the yearly charge is around Rs. 80,000, which is comprised of Rs. 50,000 as room rent and Rs. 30,000 as mess charges. Double-sharing is available at around Rs. 60,000 per year, with Rs. 30,000 for each as room rent and mess. The fee for triple-sharing is Rs. 55,000 a year, with Rs. 25,000 as room rent and rs 30,000 as mess charges.
