For the General category, the maximum rank admissible was 85241 for the B.Tech. in Dairy Technology. This course had an overall cutoff ranging from 56318 to 85241.

Sri Venkateswara University shortlists students for its MA courses on the basis of marks in the entrance exam or merit in the qualifying examinations. A few departments also hold interviews or written tests. Selection is final based on merit in academics and availability of seats. Reservation rules are also taken into account while allotting seats.

Sri Venkateswara University asks the candidates to have a Bachelor's degree in the concerned subject to be considered eligible for MA. The degree should be from a recognised university. A minimum percentage, as per the specialisation, can be asked. Final-year graduation students are also eligible to apply provisionally.

Admission to BTech course in Sri Venkateswara University is based on entrance. Candidates should qualify in either the EAMCET for regular admission or ECET for lateral admission. Merit secured in these examinations alone is used for selection. Candidates who meet both eligibility and entrance requirements are the ones considered for final admission.

To gain admission to Sri Venkateswara University's BTech program, the candidate should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students who have vocational courses in Engineering and Technology from the boards of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana are also entitled. Sri Venkateswara University provides a liberal CBCS-based BTech course in seven specializations. It has regular, lateral entry, BTech (Hons), and major-minor options for merit students.
