Bengal Institute of Technology and Management admissions are both merit and entrance-based, depending on the course selected by the students. The institute accepts several national and state-level entrance exams to shortlist the candidates for courses, such as BTech, MTech, MBA, etc. Meanwhile, for admission to other courses, the candidate's merit in the last qualifying exam is considered. Students can reach out to the admission help desk of the institute to know about further details/ queries.

The ranking in JEE Main with 12,000 may be out of competition with top colleges in IIT and NIT in CSE department, which happens when the ranking in the entrance test goes highly competitive for seats in that stream. Generally, for most of the IITs, CSE seats can be acquired from closing rank with 2,000-4,000 ranks for general candidates. At new NIT or other government college levels, getting CSE seats will also be achievable in the same range of rank like 12,000.

Official cut-offs of the specific institutions and branches you're interested in must be checked.

No. For taking admission in University of Burdwan, you must appear for JEE Mains or WBJEE. Without these exams you can't get admission in B.E. / B.Tech courses.

Chances to get into Jadavpur University depend on a lot of factors like the aggregate percentage, academic performance, and the requirements of the concerned program. For B.Sc programs, the general criteria are around 75% aggregate in 10+2 examinations with relevant subjects. Admission is very competitive and based on merit; however, scores in entrance exams apply as well. Ensure that one meets the eligibility criteria for the concerned programme and then prepares well for the respective entrance tests. Additionally, the timely submission of your application and supporting documents will be vital for enhancing your chances of admission
