As per the latest rankings by U.S. News for Bridgeport University courses, the Undergraduate Engineering course is ranked at #194-211. Whereas, the Nursing course ranks at #525. In 2025, the Computer Engineering PG course is ranked at #151. Also, Shiksha Popularity ranking has placed the MS courses of this university at #243 and #219 for Engineering courses.

Both Governors State University (GSU) & University of New Haven (UNH) are part of the top 450 universities & colleges in the USA for Business studies at the undegraduate level.
New Haven with a rank #316 ranks above Governors State (#440) as part of the country-level rankings for UG Business Studies. Acceptance rate wise, UNH acceptance rate of 91% is nearly double that of GSU (48%).
However, when it comes to affordability, GSU is much easier on the pockets of international students for UG studies, while PG course fees can go north of the INR 1 Crore mark.
The choice of which is better, ultimately comes down to what a student

Yes, with the University of New Haven acceptance rate of 81%, it is more competitive among the two institutions. University of the Pacific accepts about 95/100 applicants. Whereas, the Uni of New Haven accepts about 81 out of every 100 applicants.
Nonetheless, students must not take it lightly and excel in academics to boost their chances. Apart from this, students who are outstanding in activities outside class also stand a good chance of securing admission.
