CUET-PG Pattern

The CUET PG negative marking scheme aims to discourage random guessing and encourage thoughtful consideration of answers. Here's a breakdown of its potential advantages: 

• Reduced Guesswork: By deducting marks for incorrect answers, candidates are less likely to randomly guess, promoting a more accurate assessment of their knowledge. 
• Focus on Accuracy: The scheme incentivizes candidates to focus on answering questions they are confident about, rather than attempting all questions regardless of their understanding.  
• Fairer Competition: Negative marking can create a more level playing field by reducing the impact of lucky guesses and emphasizing genuine understanding of the subject matter.
• Strategic Decision-Making: It encourages candidates to develop strategic test-taking skills, such as identifying and skipping questions they are unsure about.

A modification in the CUET PG test design means that this year's CUET PG 2024 cut-off will be calculated from a total mark of 300. It used to be 400 marks earlier. The participating universities are conducting separate CUET PG 2024 counseling sessions on their official websites. In 2024, NTA won't be involved in the CUET PG counseling process. Candidates wishing to learn more about the CUET PG 2024 counseling rounds are asked to continue checking out the official websites of the participating universities. In 2024, master's degree programs will be admitted to 190 CUET PG participating universities (central, state, private, and others). The counseling process for the CUET PG 2024 has begun at the University of Delhi.
