For academic merit, candidates must have twelve years of school education from a recognised board. Further, the institute conducts an admission test and personal interview on a scheduled date. Final admission will based on the admission merit, which is prepared based on the three above-mentioned factors. Howvever, DEI accepts CUET UG scores for admission its BA courses.

The admission at DEI Agra for the 2024 academic year, including the B.Arch program, is expected to open around April-May 2025. Admission for 2024 session has been closed. To be eligible for the course, the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as well as mentioned aggregate marks at 10+2 level examination from a recognized board.
