As far as I am concerned, the NEET cutoff for Manav Rachna Dental college is not static. It varies year to year. For example in the year 2024, for UG, the cutoff was 1139258 in the first round and in the second round, the cutoff was 839646.

Based on the DY Patil Dental College MDS cut-off for the last round of admissions in 2024, MDS in Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge turned out to be the most difficult to secure admission to. During the last round, the cut-off rank at which the admission for Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge closed at was 4,131 for the General (AIQ) candidates. For the same category, MDS in Oral Medicine and Radiology turned out to be the least competitive specialisation, with a closing rank of 13,904.

As per the available information, there is no provision for direct admission at DY Patil Dental College, Pune for MDS. The admission is solely based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) ranks secured by the applicants. Only NEET-qualified candidates can participate in the MCC NEET counselling conducted by the MCC. It is mandatory to participate in the centralised counselling process for securing a seat for MDS at Dr DY Patil Dental College.

Aspirants are required to complete the NEET MDS application process to be eligible for the seat allotment. Only the candidates who have appeared for NEET MDS can register for the counselling process. Hence, NEET MDS is the accepted entrance exam for MDS admission at the college.
