Product design is concerned primarily with the relationships between products, systems and those who use them. The horizons of the course are definitely not constrained with the furniture or any relative product.
The combination of the stats precisely about the designs, their usage by the customers and the real-time performance of the product in the sales market combined contributes to the parameters that help a design engineer to architect the product. Though, one can specialize in furniture and woodcrafts based upon one's choice. In the curriculum, you will be taught everything.

Basic Key differences between B.Arch in Interior Design and B. Des in Interior Design:
1. B.Arch in Interior Design is an engineering course having duration of five years. Candidates who have passed plus two with the subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry can only join this course.
2. B. Des in Interior Design is a four year course which focuses only on the interior designing of the building. Candidates who have passed Class 12 in any stream can join this course.
3. Even though the candidates who have passed any of these courses work on the same field, job profiles and salary packages are different for B.Arch graduate

The BDes admissions at DYPDC require candidates to appear for the DPU AIDAT to qualify for admissions. The aforementioned entrance exam is conducted by Ajeenkya DY Patil University to admit candidates for the BDes course. Any candidate who has passed 10+2 from any of the government recognised board is eligible to apply for BDes admissions at the institute.

- Full-time Degree of minimum 4 year duration in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/Architecture
- Three Year Bachelor Degree from any recognised University, In B Design/ Fashion Technology, B Tech. / 3 years Diploma of Government Polytechnic + Any Bachelor's Degree & Industry Experience, B.Sc. Textile Science in Apparel Design, B.Sc .Fashion Design. NOTE: For three year Degree programme the students will have to do a bridge course of 8 credits in their first year ( 4 credits each Sem I and Sem II)
