Admission to M.Sc is based on merit only. There is no need for a URATPG score for admission to the course. The selection is done based on the graduation score only.
- To get admission one must have, a B.Sc degree with a minimum of 50% marks(10+2+3).
- Candidate should have Agriculture/Botany/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacy/ Zoology as one of the subjects in B.Sc.
The course includes Personal Interviews as a part of the selection process. After candidates are shortlisted based on graduation scores, they need to appear for the PI and the final selection will be based on this PI.

These companies recruit students either for internships or full-time jobs. The highest package for BSc students is INR 50,000 and the lowest is INR 15 LPA to INR 20 LPA . Scholarships based on Biotechnology Eligibility cum scholarship Test (BEST) - The institute offer Scholarship for B.Sc. Biotechnology 1st year and M.Sc. Biotechnology & M.Sc. Microbiology semester-I on the basis of Biotechnology Eligibility cum scholarship Test. A minimum of 55 % of aggregate marks for the candidates of Universities in Rajasthan state,
60% marks for candidates from any University outside the State of Rajasthan.
ii. As per the University of Rajasthan norms, if seats remain vacant in the college, the girl candidate is given the reduction of 5% in the minimum percentage for admission.

IN Dr. B. lal Institue 5,000 shall be charged to all newly admitted students. The charges for the mess are Rs 21,500, the electricity and water charges are Rs 6,500, the room rent is Rs 7,000 and the campus fee is Rs 20,000. Application forms for hostel admission must be sent along with the admission form, which makes the college more expensive.
