For international students enrolled in the Master of Science in Computer Science degree at CSU East Bay, the GRE is not required.
Look at the MS admission requirements for CS program from CSU East Bay:
- A UG degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
- A minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale is required

Admission is provided with any score as long as the candidate has a GPA of 3.0 or more; nevertheless, all first-time students are encouraged to submit their SAT or ACT results. Look at the pointers as given below -
- A 2.0 GPA is the minimum requirement for admission.
- Graduates are required to show an acceptable PG degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Should have achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 in an acceptable earned UG degree or a grade point average of at least 2.5 in the last 60 semester units (90 quarter units) attempted.

According to an unofficial source, the CSUEB acceptance rate is 97%. This makes it very easy to get selected into the university.
The university gives preference to students who meet the mentioned criteria-
- Having higher grades or who have exceptional academic or research experience
- English language proficiency
