To get admission in IIIT Trichy for Ph.D. in Economics, a candidates must hold a First Class Bachelor or First Class Master degree in the appropriate field of Science or humanities (Mathematics/ Physics/ Economics / English), with a minimum of 60% overall (CGPA 6.5/10) in undergrad or graduation school for candidates in the OC/OBC category and 55% overall or an equivalent CGPA of 6.0 for candidates in the SC/ST category.
To be eligible for a fellowship, a full-time candidate must have a valid UGC/CSIR/NET/GATE score.
