After qualifying situation test, candidates have to come for a personal interview round.Once the selection rounds are over, NIFT releases the cutoff list. Candidates with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks become eligible for admission. The institute also releases a merit list based on the below parameters:

Yes, NIFT conducts national-level design entrance exam for offering admission to BDes course. The entrance exam is conducted once every year and has two parts:
- Written Exams - It comprises GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT (Creative Ability Test). The GAT paper is mandatory for all programmes, while only BDes and MDes candidates need to take the CAT.
- Situation Test/ Personal Interview - BDes aspirants who get selected have to appear in the situation test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a personal interview.
Below is the weightage of entrance exam in BDes admission:

In case you're unable to clear the HPBOSE 10th exams 2026, you can appear for the Compartmental / Supplementary / Improvement Exams that are held in July after the declaration of HPBOSE 10th Result 2026. This way, you can save an academic year.

Yes, JEE is not required for B.Tech admission at Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU). The university conducts its own entrance exam for admission to B.Tech courses
The eligibility criterion for B.Tech courses at JNAFAU includes passing the 10+2 level with PCM as compulsory subjects
Therefore, JEE is not a requirement for admission to B.Tech at JNAFAU.

The minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) is 88. Some departments list minimum recommendations or requirements on their departmental websites and may require a higher level of proficiency. The minimum acceptable score will vary by programme for IELTS. In mostly cases, a score of at least 7.0 is desirable. Vanderbilt University recommends a minimum score of 100 on the TOEFL iBT, a 230 on the computer-based TOEFL, and a 70 on the PTE Academic.
