- Valid score in BITSAT, SAT, NEET, or any state engineering entrance examination.
- NUAT (NIIT University Aptitude Test) is mandatory for candidates who have not appeared in JEE-Main/BITSAT/SAT/NEET/any state engineering entrance examination.
- Separate exam for BTech entry conducted by NIIT University.

The Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering accepts GATE scores for admission, however the institution predominantly administers admission through the Karnataka PGCET. As of the University, MAT is not required.
But, for the other course such as BBA, the selection criteria is based on UGAT/AME CET.
Then for BCA, it depends on merit-based selection.
For B.Des class 12th with an aggregate of 50 percent and IDAT.
For MBA requires MAT/CAT/ CMAT.
For BArch, it requires NATA and ACPC counseling
