Yes, it is. PSG is one of the prestigious colleges in Coimbatore. The placements at PSG College of Arts and Science is a little less. Sometimes, we need to attend interviews held in other colleges for placements. For science, you need to give it a 2nd though.

No, college in India is offering placement for Forensic Science, because all the forensic related jobs are in government sector, so you have to appear for the exams after your studies.

Hi Anshika,
After M.Sc Forensic Science there are many job prospects which opens up for you such as you can go with forensic laboratory work in under Indian government, or join criminal investigation department and even pursue Ph.D after that depending on your interest. All you need is to keep looking for jobs and apply for them. After applying take a follow up. You can give various government exams related to forensics. Good luck.

According to me, M.Sc in forensic Science has better scope, better salary and is more in demand. Very soon, the scope will go wider as the government has approved, to open some more forensic labs throughout India.

For forensic science, you need to have a Bachelors degree in Science or equivalent qualification. With BCA, it won't be possible to go for this course.

Your situation seems to be just like mine. I am a graduate in BCA. Now I want to do forensics. Most of the universities that I have searched require a 3 year degree, whereas for atleast 2 years you should have studied bio/phy/che/maths (atleast 2 subjects) or a degree in forensics. I will let you know if I succeed in finding the one that suits the situation.
