To be eligible for BTech in National Forensic Science University, candidates need minimum 60 % aggregate (55% for ST/SC/PwD) in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They should also have one of the following subjects as optional subject: Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology/Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture/Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship.

National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar admissions 2026 are merit and entrance-based. To get admission, students must fulfil the eligibility and selection requirement. The final selection is based on an internal entrance exam i.e. Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test (FACT 2026). Candidates with valid scores of GATE, GPAT and CAT will be given first preference for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy and Management.

Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar has received 'Centre of Excellence Status' from the Government of Gujarat. It has been ranked 89th in the 'Management' category, 151-200th in the 'University' category, and 98th in the 'Engineering' category according to the NIRF ranking 2025. The institute is recognised by the UGC, SIRO, and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The highest package offered during 2025 placements was INR 42 LPA. In hort, it is a good institute in terms of recognitions, rankings, placements, etc.

National Forensic Sciences University is one of the eminent university which is recognised by the UGC and accredited by the NAAC A Grade. The university has well-trained and expert faculty members with years of experience. The university has well-equipped infra with classrooms, labs, library, medical facility, etc.

The Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is ranked the 5th best Law School of India by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF 2025). While NLIU Bhopal was ranked 27th by the same.
Further in terms of placements the median package was INR 18 LPA in 2024 for GNLU Gandhinagar while the same for NLIU Bhopal was INR 16 LPA.
In short, GNLU Gandhinagar is better than NLIU Bhopal in terms of placements and ranking and may be a better choice for many students.

NFSU Gandhinagar has an Anti-Ragging Cell. Hence, the freshers will never meet with this problem while studying in this college. The college premises has strict laws against the student found guilty of any act such as abusing, assaulting, threatening, teasing and embarrassment to new students, among others.
