Eligibility To be eligible to join the B.E. / B.Tech at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, one must have passed the 10+2 level examination or equivalent with at least 50% marks in mathematics, physics, and chemistry grouped together for candidates in the general category from a recognised Board. Admission is strictly through the counselling conducted by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), whereby the scores as achieved in the 12th standard would form the basis for admission.

The eligibility criteria for admission to M.Tech at Government College of Technology is with reference to the TANCET exam scorecard.
The student needs to appear for the TANCET exam and pass it with minimum 50%, the scorecards are needed to be uploaded and then rank list is announced according to which the cutoff list is released. The student also needs to have minimum of 50% marks in graduation level.

Government College Of Technology eligibility criteria for B.Tech. is as follows-
TNEA results are accepted by Government College of Technology for admission to the BE/BTech program. The deadline for registering for the TNEA 2024 is June 6, 2024, and registration is currently open.
Eligibility-
Candidates must have at least 50% in their 10+2 coursework from an accredited board, with mathematics, chemistry, and physics designated as electives.

The minimum eligibility requirement at Government College of Technology for M.Tech is as follows :-
- Minimum 50% at graduation level
- TANCET exam scorecard
- Minimum 50% at 10+2 Level in the PCM stream
The cutoff is prepared accordingly to the marks of TANCET exam and the ranks are announced.

Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply. |
B.Arch | Candidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised Institute/ University can also apply. Candidates appearing for 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2023. |
