No, CAT is not at all necessary for an MBA in Hospital Management. Some colleges also provide MBA in Hospital Management, which may require students to appear for CAT, while others accept other entrance exams such as XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAH CET, etc.

It is definitely a good option if you have completed your MBBA but don't wish to go for an MD or MS. An MBA is such a vast field, it will offer you diverse career options and provide you with all the skills you need to succeed in the healthcare industry.

An MBA in Healthcare Management is not a difficult course. If you love writing, have research & analytical skills, and have statistical ability, you'll love pursuing the course. Without a clinical background, it may get tough for you to find good job options in the Healthcare sector.
